The Legal Studies Department highly recommends that any students interested in law school or in a career in a law-related field join the Phi Alpha Delta (PAD) Pre- Law Society chapter at Temple University, a student professional organization at the Fox School of Business.
Founded in 1902, PAD is the preeminent legal fraternity in the United States with 600 chapters nationwide. The Fox School has maintained a chapter since 1995. PAD’s mission is to provide service to the student, the school, the profession, and the community.
The Temple PAD chapter offers a wide variety of activities that will ease students’ path to law school including LSAT preparation activities, guest speakers on the law school experience and in careers in law. The Temple PAD chapter is also committed to fostering and maintaining a diverse and inclusive environment. The Temple PAD chapter offers community service events and opportunities to network and build collaborative and leadership skills. Attendance at many PAD events will earn Fox students FLDP points.
Benefits available through PAD International include discounts for LSAT prep courses, networking opportunities at the annual fall Pre-Law Conference, the opportunity to participate in the annual Mock Trial Competition, and vendor discounts. Members also have access to webinars on LSAT and law school preparation, financial planning, the speaker series and the career center.
