National Association of Black Accountants

The NABA – Temple University Student Chapter was chartered in 1981. Similarly, to the goals of our national chapter, the Temple University Student Chapter makes efforts to bridge the gap for Black students looking to begin careers in accounting, finance, and other business-related fields. We do this by conducting professional development workshops, hosting speaker/company meetings and networking events, as well as attending the Eastern Region Student Conference (ERSC) every Fall. Guest speakers from the big four accounting firms, as well as companies like Vanguard and JP Morgan Chase & Co., collect resumes and offer career advice. Members gain a competitive edge through resume writing and interview workshops. In addition, we offer numerous opportunities for our members to give back to the community as our national motto is Lifting as We Climb.
