Want to hear a construction joke? Sorry, I’m still working on it.
The Temple Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is thrilled to be conducting its 2022 Construction Management Certificate series. Designed for existing and aspiring independent contractors, the CMC course is one of the longest-running programs the SBDC offers, and for good reason. The comprehensive course covers a wide range of topics over nine months and prepares participants to hit the ground running.
Graduates of the program leave with a thorough and far-reaching understanding of the construction industry. Topics covered include:
- Team Building and Baseline Assessment
- Construction Blue Prints
- Methods & Materials
- OSHA Regulations for Contractors
- Quantity Take-Off & Cost Estimating
- Project Scheduling & Budgeting
- Accounting
- Loans
- Contract Administration & Control
- Contract Law
- Pre-Business
- Bonding & Insurance
The program is taught by industry experts with proven success in construction, meaning students gain real-world knowledge they can apply to their business immediately. Students leave the program pleased and informed. A graduate from last year’s cohort had this to say of their experience:
“The Temple CMC is a full-scope training program for Construction Management. Be ready to work; be ready to learn; and, most importantly, be ready to get excited since you are taught by the top construction experts in Philadelphia. I would recommend this course without reservation.”
Participants who complete the series earn a Certificate of Completion from the Temple University Fox School of Business and the Small Business Development Center, as well as long-lasting connections with their peers and instructors.
If you’re ready to supercharge your business and learn the skills you need to succeed in construction management, the Construction Management Certificate Series is for you. The course begins Tuesday, September 14th, so sign up today.
