Temple University’s Center for International Business Education (CIBE) presents

A Virtual Faculty Development in International Business

May 24th – June 4th, 2021

Data, Ethics, and the Future of Work in the Digital Global Economy

The global environment of business has not faced a crisis of epic proportions like it is now for at least a century. Supply chains have broken down, exports have declined precipitously, and rising nationalism has led to tariffs wars and political investigations that have seriously undermined trade. Yet at the same time, new opportunities have emerged, utilizing technology, adaptive manufacturing, and a host of other ingenious ideas that are beginning to shape a new landscape in international business. Understanding this new environment requires tapping into the knowledge of experts working on the front lines and making these changes happen. This is why we are writing to you today.

The Virtual FDIB will cover AI, Machine Learning, Blockchain and other disruptive technologies and how to navigate their ethical implications in the areas of finance, marketing, law, and supply chain management, among others.  Exclusive content has been sourced from experts based in regions around the world to provide a springboard to pedagogical and research pursuits following participation.  In addition, the program will introduce cultural components to examine the diversity of viewpoints held by both business leaders and global consumers about the collection and use of data.
