Graduating senior Elena Rossetti, majoring in marketing at the Fox School of Business, has left her mark through stellar academic achievements and vibrant involvement in campus life. Her passion for marketing, especially in the event and entertainment sectors, has distinctly shaped her time at Temple University and her career path.
Rossetti’s marketing journey began in high school and led her to switch her major from business management to marketing after her first semester, fueled by her burgeoning passion and advice from a career coach.
"I really enjoyed learning about marketing previously, and once I joined Temple’s chapter of the American Marketing Association (TU-AMA), I knew that it would be a good fit for me," she says.
Rossetti thrived at Temple, engaging in opportunities that spurred her growth across professional, academic and personal realms.
A cornerstone of her college career was her internship at Insomnia Cookies, where she engaged deeply in brand marketing campaigns, including a high-profile partnership with the movie “Barbie.”
This role not only deepened her marketing acumen but also extended through the spring semester, enhancing her expertise in marketing data analysis and social media management.
Further enriching her experience, Rossetti's leadership as the director of membership administration at TU-AMA honed her skills in public speaking, market research and strategic planning. Her participation in the American Marketing Association's International Collegiate Conference, particularly excelling in the Amazon Prime Student Case Competition, highlighted her capabilities.
"The upperclassmen really took me under their wing and made me feel so confident and supported throughout the competition," she says, underscoring the supportive community at Temple.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Rossetti's involvement with the Women’s Club Volleyball Team provided a balanced and supportive college environment.
"Being on the club team has introduced me to girls outside of my major and the business school who have created such a welcoming and supportive community beyond academics," she says.
Looking forward, Rossetti is poised to pursue further opportunities in marketing that emphasize growth and mentorship.
"Temple allowed me to engage with real-world opportunities in Philadelphia while continuing my education, which has been incredibly valuable as I explore future positions," she says. "My classes and professors gave me a solid foundation in all aspects of marketing, and the resources and support from Fox allowed me to further explore my interests."
