Temple University’s Center for Ethics, Diversity and Workplace Culture (CEDWC) at the Fox School of Business is pleased to welcome KPMG as its latest board member company.
KMPG, a global leader of independent professional services firms providing audit, tax and advisory services, will join CEDWC in its work as a hub for research, dialogue and innovation focused on diversity, ethical decision-making and the creation of healthy workplace cultures.
CEDWC is excited to announce that Charisse Dean, managing director of Advisory Higher Education & US Social Sustainability at KPMG, has joined our senior advisory board as a valuable member. With over 20 years of experience, she has successfully led key programming centered around transformation strategy and execution, particularly in the areas of technology, operational launch and efficiencies, and equity integration. Her expertise spans program and project management, diversity, equity and inclusion strategy and operational effectiveness oversight.
"We are thrilled to partner with the Center for Ethics, Diversity and Workplace Culture as a long-standing sponsor and academic partner of Temple University,” says Dean. “At KPMG, we are committed to being transformative allies in advancing diverse workforces and fostering healthy workplaces that not only drive impact but also deliver significant value to organizations and the community at large. Together, we aim to create meaningful change and build inclusive environments where everyone can thrive."
KPMG’s transformative gift will be utilized to sponsor Center events, research studies and publications. It joins other multinational corporations including Comcast, EY, Merrill Lynch and PwC as corporate partners of the Center.
“We are immensely grateful for this support from KPMG,” says Leora Eisenstadt, director of CEDWC and associate professor of legal studies at the Fox School. “Our corporate partners are integral to the Center's work, advising the Center on research and educational priorities, funding the Center's initiatives and representing the Center at Temple University and external programs.”
KPMG has already begun to take a leadership role in the Center's initiatives.
“Most recently,” Eisenstadt adds, “Charisse participated at the Center’s 2024 Impact Summit, ‘AI and the Future of Work,’ on June 7, serving as moderator of the ‘Thinking Through AI Uses & Consequences for Workplace Culture’ panel.”
Since 2021, CEDWC has worked to bring together leaders in industry, government and academia to focus on building and harnessing diverse workforces and creating ethical and healthy workplace cultures.
