About the Workshop
The Innovative Negotiation Workshop at the Fox School of Business presents a unique spin on negotiation tactics for working professionals looking to strengthen their skills. Stuart Diamond, best-selling author of “Getting More: How To Be A More Persuasive Person In Work And Life,” will use his experience as a university professor, lawyer, journalist, consultant and advisor to teach participants how to use emotional intelligence, perceptions, collaboration and cultural sensitivity to become better negotiators. Diamond is the founder of “Getting More: Negotiating In The Real World,” a series of courses, training and workshops designed to enhance negotiation skills across a broad range of professions.
Diamond will guide participants through his process as they work to address current negotiation problems at their organizations. This opportunity will allow participants to focus deeply and interactively on a variety of challenges in today’s workplaces.
Better negotiating tactics are central to solving problems. The Innovative Negotiation Workshop will greatly enhance a participant’s skill set in leadership, problem-solving, innovation, collaboration and conflict reduction.
Before the workshop, participants will complete a brief online diagnostic questionnaire that will:
- Assess negotiation strengths and weaknesses. Participants are provided a confidential, individualized assessment of their negotiation strengths and weaknesses after the course.
- Ask for two or three negotiation problems currently being faced. In addition to submitted problems, this interactive workshop will use cases and group work to help participants improve their negotiation skills.
This workshop will be held online via Zoom for the safety and convenience of all participants.
