Fox Accounting Achievement Awards acknowledge the impact accounting professionals make on the business community and region, while raising funds in support of student scholarships for the next generation of accounting professionals.

Awards For Alumni

We are searching for accomplished alumni, who are established leaders, rising stars and committed citizens, to celebrate. Temple University’s Department of Accounting is pleased to honor distinguished alumni who are making a positive impact on our business community.

The recipients of this year’s awards will distinguish themselves in the following areas:

Rising STAR

Recipient has achieved success in public or private accounting and demonstrated leadership skills and a commitment to the Fox School of Business. Eligible candidates include any person 35 years of age or younger who graduated with a major in accounting, or any person who graduated from Temple’s accounting programs within the past 10 years.

Public Accounting

Recipient has achieved success in the public accounting profession and distinguished himself or herself in the areas of accounting, tax, and/or advisory expertise, as well as community and client service.

Corporate

Recipient has reached a level of success in the non-public accounting profession. This executive-level professional has primary responsibility for the financial statements or operations of his or her organization and has demonstrated technical and/or industry expertise.

Non-Profit / Government

Recipient has achieved success in the not-for-profit or government sector and distinguished himself or herself in the areas of financial reporting, compliance or operations of his or her organization.

Community Service

An individual with an outstanding reputation in civic service who has made contributions to the accounting profession and a meaningful impact on our local communities.

Lifetime Achievement

Recipient has demonstrated a lifetime commitment to the advancement of the accounting profession through sustained leadership in public accounting, business, or academic communities. He or she has advocated for the study and practice of accounting, encouraged civic service, and maintained professional excellence.

Distinguished Alumni

Recipient has demonstrated the highest level of achievement in his or her career and made significant contributions benefiting the community, state or nation. He or she exemplifies the values of the Department of Accounting, the Fox School of Business and Temple University. The award is conferred on occasions in which the individuals’ extraordinary accomplishments to business, government or academia are sustained over the span of a career.

Awards For Non-Alumni

We are searching for accomplished non-alumni who are established leaders making a positive impact on our business community for the following award:

EXCELLENCE AWARD FOR CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE ACCOUNTING PROFESSION

This award recognizes a leader in the accounting profession who has made a significant contribution to the profession through demonstrated leadership and achievement in the region, the country, or the world. This award is given to a non-alumni in recognition of the significance of their contributions to accounting profession, a catalyst for business development and growth in the economy. Engagement with Temple University will be a consideration in making this award.

Sponsorships

Net proceeds and contributions raised from the Accounting Achievement Awards will be added to the Accounting Achievement Awards Term Scholarship Fund to help accounting students reach their potential. The scholarship monies will help high-achieving accounting students in pursuing their undergraduate and Master of Accountancy (MAcc) degrees by helping offset educational costs. Financial contributions to the Accounting Achievement Awards Term Scholarship Fund are critical to ensuring students get the best start possible in the accounting profession and become focused business leaders in the Greater Philadelphia region and beyond.

Sponsorships Levels

$105 per ticket is considered a benefit and is not tax deductible. Temple University acknowledges that it is a qualified charitable organization under IRS section 170(c). Contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
