Biography
Tawanda Benesi is an assistant professor of instruction in the Department of Statistical Science, joining the Fox School from the University of Georgia.
Benesi’s research interests are rooted in applications of data science to areas including health, agriculture, engineering, manufacturing, education and social behavior. He also studies longitudinal and spatial-temporal data analysis.
He received an Outstanding Teaching Award from the University of Georgia and a Fellowship as Foreign Fulbright Scholar in 2014. Benesi received a data science certificate from DataCamp.
Benesi received his master’s degree and PhD from the University of Georgia in Athens, along with additional degrees in statistics from the University of Zimbabwe.
